Who We Are

Product introduction: Electronic handbrake ServoMotor

The function of the electronic handbrake button is that after turning on this function, the vehicle can automatically enter the parking state when the brake is stopped. Even if the brakes are not stepped on after the brakes are stopped, the vehicle will not continue to drive or slip. Only when the accelerator is stepped on again will the parking mode be canceled and continue to drive.

Automobile electronic handbrake, EPB for short, is mainly used for long-term braking after parking. The button mark on the vehicle is "P". Its working principle is the same as that of the traditional mechanical hand brake. It controls the parking brake through the friction generated by the brake disc and the brake pad, but the control method is changed by the previous mechanical hand brake. The manual handbrake becomes an electronic button.

How to use the electronic handbrake Enable the electronic handbrake.

1. Step on the brake pedal, pull up the electronic handbrake switch until the indicator light in the instrument lights up, and at the same time the indicator light on the handbrake switch also lights up.

2. If the engine is turned off without using the electronic handbrake, the vehicle will automatically activate the electronic handbrake.

Electronic handbrake emergency braking: When the vehicle cannot stop with the pedal brake, hold the electronic handbrake switch for more than 2 seconds to perform emergency braking on the vehicle, and a warning signal will sound at the same time. Emergency braking can be canceled by releasing the handbrake switch or depressing the accelerator pedal. (Note that the emergency brake function is not available for all models, please read the instruction manual for details.)

Turn off the electronic handbrake.

1. Press the electronic handbrake switch while stepping on the brake, and the indicators on the instrument and the switch will go out at this time.

2. When the engine is running, step on the accelerator to automatically release the electronic handbrake.

The electronic parking brake technology currently used in automobiles is mainly the caliper integrated electronic parking brake system, which replaces traditional parking brake handles, mechanical levers and pull wires with electronic buttons and motor components. When parking, when the driver operates the electronic button of the electronic parking brake system, the electronic control unit will control the action of the motors integrated in the left and right brake calipers, and the motors can drive the pistons of the brake calipers to move to generate mechanical clamping force to complete parking. car.

If the electronic handbrake is broken, most of it is caused by the failure of the handbrake motor.

Cars equipped with electronic handbrakes have two handbrake motors on the rear wheels. After pressing the electronic handbrake button near the shift lever, the handbrake motors can clamp the brake pads to prevent the car from rolling
