Automobile PEPS refers to the keyless system, which is the intelligent entry and start system.

The abbreviation of English Passive-Entry-Passive-Start. The function of the keyless system:

When the driver steps into the designated range, the system can recognize the authorized driver of the vehicle

and automatically open the door; when leaving the vehicle, the door lock will automatically lock and enter the anti-theft state.

At the same time, the keyless system can also remember all service and diagnostic information,

such as seat adjustment, air conditioning settings, infotainment information, etc.

The keyless system is a combination of intelligence and convenience, which saves many complicated steps

and simplifies the operation of the car. The keyless system is mainly operated through four components:

door handle switch, low-frequency antenna, car key, and high-frequency receiver.

The working principle is:

1. Take the car key and walk to the vicinity of the vehicle (the car key must be powered).

When the vehicle button is pressed or the door handle is pulled,

the vehicle will receive a signal for ignition or unlocking, and send a signal to the low-frequency antenna.

2. After the low-frequency antenna receives the signal, it will send a low-frequency trigger signal to the car key.

3. The car key receives a low-frequency trigger signal and sends out a high-frequency unlock signal.

4. The high-frequency receiver receives the high-frequency unlocking signal, and the whole vehicle is unlocked or ignited.
